Howdy Pardner!

So, 4/18 was Cowboy night at Jake's. I have to say, I was FOR ONCE ready in advance. I found an outfit a full day in advance. Normally, I'm rushing around after the party has started, having to ignore TP's from Jake and the boys...but this week I was ready.
Lots of hot guys in chaps, faded plaid, leather and boots. Can't go wrong there. Syri was great, of course, as DJ. Even caving in to pressure to play the occasional country song, when requested. Also, any song with a cowboy-appropriate word in the title was fair game as well...so we heard the likes of Jessica Simpson whispering her way through "These Boots are Made for Walkin'" (I prefer the original, but oh well) and somehow Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me"...I forget how that fit in with the cowboy theme. LOL
I don't know if anyone caught it, but I stripped early (and quickly changed back). I thought it would be cute to have those red cover-all-underwear that they used to wear in the ol' West...but in the end, I didn't care for it. And, to my knowledge, no pics exist.
I had to call it an early night. RL always seems to get in the way when I'm having fun.

Makes you wonder if there were any "queeny" gays back in the day...I mean, that's gotta be how the leather thing started...don't ya think?

Somethin' kinda hot about the brim of the hat coverin' the eyes, don't ya think?

All the hot men in leather, boots, indian garb and of course...Syri's hot little number, made me remove the cloak.

It's a new Patty!

Well, Spring is here. The trees and flowers are starting to come back to life. Got me thinking that it was time to make some changes. I've had the same look, pretty much, for a little over a year and was itching for a new look.

Mostly, new outfits. I'm a terrible shopper. What I think looks good on the "model" rarely looks good on me. Well, Jakey and Baz decided they wanted to make me over and I said...okay.

The first thing? A new shape. I wasn't 100% keen on this idea, since I liked my "look" and had gotten used to it, and for the most part, it served me well. But, I went with an open mind and knew Jakey would know what would look right.

We found a nice shape in one of the shops at Jake's Club Resort, Agape I believe. It was relatively close to my original shape, just a bit more refined and (as Jakey put it) with rounder cheeks (face, not ass...at least I think LOL).

After that, it was off to find a new skin. We were successful at Belleza (I forget the region, sorry). I think this was my favorite. I liked my old skin, but had been looking around for something with a little more definition. So, I'm happy with that.

Then it was time for shoes. Thank God. I have the hardest time with shoes/sneakers...especially sneakers. They brought me to the only pair I'll probably ever need...Porn Star? LOL...hey, they look great and comfortable and they're customizable.

Then came, I guess the more humorous part...at least for Baz and Jakey. Now, I've know Jake for over a year. I've worn the same few pairs of jeans that I own for most of that time. This morning (he says he's told me before, maybe I wasn't listening) Baz cracked that it was time to get rid of the "mom" jeans...and of course Jakey laughed. Now, I admit...I do have one pair that are a little "high-rise". I had no idea that they (or my other jeans) were that bad. (I guess that would make sense to me since in RL I only started wearing mid-rise 2 years ago. LOL). I think that store was Zoobong or Zoobom. I'll edit later with correct names.

Then some shirts from Beefcake. I could drone on and on, I know you're dying to see the end result:

Now, I will admit. I got scared of the new shape...mostly because it had a new face. So when I logged in earlier to go shopping for an outfit for the Spring Fling Party tonight, I wore the old shape. Jakey quickly set me straight and I put the new one back on. I'm liking it more and more.
Now I just need to get Brady to get me another sexy profile pic. LOL

You know...

Ok, so there was a big long vent here.

I'm overworked and overtired and got a little bitchy about something that truly isn't that important to me. Hopefully I didn't piss any friends off too much.

It's gonna be a long week at work, and while I enjoy logging onto SL, chatting with friends and listening and "dancing" to good tunes...I think I just need to step back and take a little break. Go to bed earlier, get through this week-from-hell at the office and return in a better mood, well-rested and back to my normal fun-loving self.

'nite.

Patty's Digs

Well, I finally did it. Got myself a little (rented) place on the grid.

It's been a long time coming. I've been on SL for almost 2.5 years and, except for a brief relationship, never had a place to call my own. My "home" sim was some god-awful place with loud music and obnoxious people. I ended up making the Korea4 region my home. It's near the first public newbie area I used to frequent (Korea1) and is usually empty.

I have found that landing in an empty region comes in handy when one forgets the potential state of undress one may have been in the night before. Nothing more embarrassing than dropping into a club or even general public area in your rezday suit. LOL

So, today I decided to rent a condo at Tower 3 at Jake's Club Landing. Luckily, it comes furnished and I can add my own personal touches. As time goes by, I hope to add my own furniture and all that...but just want to take my time and see how it goes.

Here are a few shots:

Patty's One-Liner of the Week...almost.

Damn!

I should know not to make notes in shorthand after I've had a couple of cocktails.

During the Nursery Rhyme/Dr. Suess party last night I uttered what was probably the most off-the-cuff, type-before-you-really-think-it-through one-liners...and it worked. It was good enough to even get Syri to chime in over a song with a snicker.

All I can remember is that it involved several people commenting on liking P!nk the singer, then a sexual reference to something pink and my response was something like "I like pink, just not necessarily in my face".

Damn vodka. Oh well. Lesson learned. Full notes from now on!

I didn't even get a picture! It was a hot party. As usual, I stressed about what to wear. I came up with a Peter Cottontail-ish outfit and then Baz got me liking the idea of the hare racing the tortoise. He asked where the tortoise was and I said something like "He's still at the fuckin' race, I'm here to party."

Belated Mardi Gras...

Well, this year I was sick for Mardi Gras and had to forego my usual celebration at Shiggs (RL reference, I don't expect anyone to get that). So, I was pleased to find out that Jake's was having a Mardi Gras celebration the weekend after.

As usual, I had lots of fun, here are a few pics I managed to take:

Next to nothing...

...is what I wore to the "Anything But Clothes" Party at Jake's on Saturday. I was a little stressed, my selection of prims/attachments is pretty scarce. This is what I came up with:

Next to nothing is also about what I got to experience. I crashed a few times. Either my internet connection or pc is acting up. After the third, I gave up and called it a night. I still had a great time. It was fun to see what everyone came up with.

The one thing that wasn't next to nothing? The contest prize. My last glance saw that it was around 25069 L$! Unbelievable. I wonder who ended up winning?

Obvisously, not me. Guess they're lucky I didn't stick around.

Ok, even I can't keep a straight face on that one.

Valentine's Day

I was not looking forward to Valentine's Day on SL. No partner and no friend to accompany me. I thought I had a prospect, bought tickets to an event at Jake's and the prospect kinda fizzled.

But I showed up anyway. Not at all what I was expecting. First I learned that I was paired up with someone. Pol Lockjaw. I was a little nervous at first. I take a little while to get comfortable and chatty, but I just went with it and before too long we were having a pleasant conversation.

We were served wine, choice of appetizer, main course and dessert. Pol was sweet and charming, I couldn't believe he didn't have a date for the evening. After that we did some dancing.

SL wasn't entirely on our side. He crashed a few times and I crashed (well, got a little dozy...it was getting late RL) once. By the time I came back he had moved on. We still chatted in IM and the pleasantries continued. The party had started to get going at Jakes, of came the suits and tuxes...on went the skimpy outfits typical for a Saturday night at Jakes.

In the end it was a wonderful evening. I'm glad Jake and Baz matched Pol and I up. I've made a new friend. Hopefully a lasting one. Here are a few pics:

It's a Two-fer!

Just some more random photos from the last week, or so on SL
Jakey and Baz at the Scout Party
My late-night attire for the Scout Party

Recently partnered Rocky and Duke...congrats guys! Hmmm...wonder if they knew I took this?

This is from a week or maybe more ago, just had a good shot of the "crew"...my closest friends in SL (Jakey and Baz, Me, Rocky and Duke). Hmmm...suddenly thinks he looks like a 5th wheel? LOL

Had a very pleasant evening with a friend I recently reconnected with. Well, that one night. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. We talked in IM for a while and I decided to take him to Bogart's for some slow dancing and some smooth jazz and nice conversation.

Patty's One-Liner of the Week

Well, this will have to do.

Yet another fun night at Jake's. The theme last night was Boy Scouts. I had a terrible time finding an outfit. I'd really like to know where some people found their outfits. In the end, it had gotten so late that I just found a pair of cargo shorts that were that lovely "boy scout" olive green color and some boots. Worked out alright. I really need to take time to really go shopping for these theme nights...earlier than an hour after the party has started.

Back to the subject at hand. There was a contest and the prize was set at $6969. DJ Syri made the comment "and who wouldn't love a little 69?". My reply was (drum roll please) "I'll take a 68 and I'll owe ya one". Actually, I'm a very giving person. I'd probably end up being the one "owed one".

Thank you. I'm here all week.

Will I ever learn?

So, popped onto SL tonight. I wanted to unwind after a day of getting ready for and having a Super Bowl party. In typical fashion, too much food, too few guests...but it was all good.

Back to the story. I logged on, put on my generic outfit. Looked for the usual Sunday night pool party at Jake's. Saw there was quite a crowd in the main club area, so I TP'd. By the time everyone's images loaded, I could see suits and gowns...just beautiful people. I asked Jake what was going on, turns out it was a wedding reception...that as far as I could tell, I hadn't been invited to.

This has happened before. I have a few friends that are nice enough to allow me to locate them on the map. One night I dropped in and immediately could tell I walked in on a serious moment. Very awkward. I swore I'd never just "drop in" again...ever.

But tonight, it was the club. There were A LOT of people. Why not, right?

Oh well. The groom was gracious and sure that he invited me. He may have been being nice. I threw on a suit and just had fun. It was a nice way to end the weekend.

Not the best pic of me, but I still think I clean up nice. ;)

Patty's One-Liner of the Week

Ok, I know it's only Sunday...so it's probably early to have a "one-liner of the week", but this was just too good.

Went by Jake's tonight for the pool party with DJ Muhu and Pol had a towel on his shoulder that Ritch said he liked. Long story short, it led to a comment by Pol that went something like this:
"...for some things I don't need a towel, I so hate to make a mess..."

To which I couldn't help but reply:

"Why wipe off tomorrow what you can swallow tonight?"

Will this become a new feature? We'll see. I rarely have a gem like that. LOL I guess I have a "runner-up" while I'm at it. I also stopped by The Pavillion where my friend DJ Wesley spins every week. For some reason, I always turn up at or near the end of his show...and I realized this tonight which led to this "runner-up" to the one-liner of the week:

"Great times as always Wes. I always come at the end of your show...wait, let me rephrase that..."

Ok, off to bed. RL always gets in the way...

Another weekend over...

Not much going on. Attempted to "venture" around SL tonight. Found a lot of empty/boring regions. Even went to a place called "Hottieville". Don't bother, pretty much a place for newbies. Which is fine. I'm not judging.

Spent a few minutes at Boot's Beach:

Then went and got a few pics of myself at the Blue Boy Club:

Used to love going there about a year or so ago. DJ Wes used to spin a couple of times a week, always a good time. Nothing goes on there now, but it's still there. Maybe it'll be revived one of these days. Of course, nothing will ever replace Jake's in my heart. ;)

Here is a silly pic from one of many fun nights at Jake's Club, this was Circus Night:

And that's my pal Rocky to my left.

First Blog

Hey there!

I'm Patryk Cleanslate. My friends call me Patty. I'm starting this blog, just for the hell of it. When I can, I like to spend time floating around SecondLife. Mostly, I just go and hangout with my friends.

I like to socialize, dance...basically just take it easy.
That's it. LOL...nothing profound to say today.
